Jeff
is an ecologist interested in the study and
management of coastal ecosystems in urbanized
settings. He has a B.S. in Zoology from Colorado
State University, a M.S. in Marine Ecology
from San Diego State University, and Ph.D.
in Oceanography from the Scripps Institution
of Oceanography. His research has focused
on biological invasions in estuaries, and
he has worked in San Francisco Bay, Chesapeake
Bay, and the embayments of San Diego. As the
Research Coordinator at the Tijuana River
National Estuarine Research Reserve, Jeff
is working to continue the reserve's strong
tradition of integrating science and management.
Advancing the ongoing restoration and invasive
species programs in the Tijuana River Valley
are among his top priorities.
